Make Your Own Jewelry Holder
Jewelry boxes are so yesterday! Your jewelry is too pretty to be hidden – it should be on display. With a few dollars you can make an elegant jewelry holder that will organize your bling!
What you need:
Note: You can buy these supplies at your local discount store or a thrift shop to make this DIY even more affordable.
Step One: Use Super Glue to adhere the bottom of your candlestick holder to the center of the top of the plate that will act as the base of your jewelry holder.
Step Two: Glue the top of the candlestick holder to the bottom of your second plate. Make sure the candlestick holder is centered on the bottom of the plate so that it will be stable.
Step Three: Allow the glue to dry until it hardens, then decorate!
- Glue sequins around the outer edge of both plates
- Draw your monogram on the top plate with craft paint
- Wrap the candlestick holder with ribbon or lace
- Paste silk flowers at the base of the candlestick holder
- Doodle with a permanent marker if using ceramic plates
This project makes a great gift for special women in your life. Moms love handmade gifts, so consider this jewelry holder for Mother’s Day. If you have other siblings, ask them to make jewelry to display in the stand. If you don’t know what to buy your best friend for her birthday, decorate one especially for her. You could also grab your friends and make matching jewelry holders together. Let this project be an activity that inspires you and allow your creativity to make you feel good about yourself.
