Who needs Silver Bells when you have Pentatonix? This incredible group releases another brilliant and beautiful instrument-free Christmas album. It’s unencumbered sound brings joy and peace to listeners who hear new approaches to traditional songs, as well as modern melodies and a few originals that will soon become holiday favorites. This album will certainly make your Christmas Merry and Bright.
If you love country Christmas, this is the album for you this Christmas season. The album makes you want to explore the snow on horseback (or a one horse open sleigh perhaps!)
There is no story like the truth of Christ’s birth. Like many of us, Matt Redman is drawn to the tale of that sacred journey to Bethlehem, and he envisions each of us as a part of that unforgettable night. “I don’t want to just tell a story, I want to make sure that we put ourselves in the story too. To help with the songwriting on this record, I actually went on a retreat to Israel. We reenacted, walking through the old roads that Jesus would have walked, going to some of the key places where key events of the gospel happened when Jesus walked this Earth. Thinking a lot about Him coming as a little newborn baby,” shares Redman.
Even though it’s just a single and not an entire album, this Christmas inspired song will sink deep into your heart as you contemplate the reality of Christ coming to this earth as a baby. Jesus entered into the world He created, a world full of majesty and fear. He came to carry us into eternity and this single helps us sense His presence, kingdom and compassion. While preparing for their album to release this Spring, Austin and Lindsey had to pause and poor into the beautiful night in Bethlehem. As Austin says, “Melodies and lyrics started pouring in as we traveled back to the mystery of this incredibly humble welcome party for the Savior of our world.
