Embarrassing Moments Last a Lifetime
Embarrassing moments can last a lifetime, either with shame or with laughter. Share some funny moments with us so we can laugh together!
One summer I worked at a daycare, and during the hot summer days we’d take the kids swimming. I was taking the kindergarteners down the winding slide and one particular little boy got scared and started squirming in my arms on the way down. During the commotion he grabbed the shoulder strap of my swimming suit, and as we turned the last corner, I went one way and he and my suit went the other. To top it off, the lifeguard was a super-cute boy I had a huge crush on, and there I was, frantically topless in the water.

At my school in eight grade, we always have an end of the year pool party where at least two of the classes at a time get together and celebrate. I jumped my best dive off the board into the water and my bathing suit bottoms went the opposite way – to my ankles. Thankfully I have good reaction time!

Last summer we were at my youth group’s summer camp. We went rafting and when we got back to the rafting place all of the girls had to go to the bathroom…. of course. None of the guys did, so we were using both of the bathrooms to get done faster. So my turn was up and the boys bathroom was free. When I finished I couldn’t open the door. It was an old building so the door handle just kept spinning but the lock was still in place. All the girls on the other side of the door were pushing as hard as they could but the door wouldn’t move. Finally, they got our nurse for the week and the owner of the facility to come help. Our nurse told me to twist the lock again. I did and the door came right open. I opened the door to a bunch of guys waiting to use the bathroom! The lock was opposite from any I’ve used before. So while I was using the bathroom it was unlocked, but when I tried to come out of the bathroom, I locked the door thinking that I was unlocking it….. haha oops.

I was swimming in the ocean with a bunch of my friends and there was a really huge wave and it took me out. There was this really hot guy and when I got up I had no top on! The guy saw, but I don’t think he wanted me to know that he did, so he didn’t say anything.
