What girly-girl doesn’t love to paint her nails? Well, it’s time to connect with your inner creativity and spice up your nails. We’re not talking just your ordinary nude or pink nail polish. Connect with the season and bring some heat to these cool Fall days. Let’s see something warm like your grandma’s pumpkin pie or something funky like your little brother’s carved Jack-O-Lantern. Check out a few of our favorite ideas!
Utilize the colors of the ever-changing leaves: burnt orange, cranberry, gold or chocolatety taupe.
DIY Tip: To make the tips super neat and straight, use some extra sticky tape or the edge of a bandage. Stick the tape ¾ of the way from the end of your nail. Paint the tips; its alright if you get a little on the tape. Pull the tape off and wah-lah!
Love the idea of your nails telling a story about the season, special events or upcoming holidays. For Fall we have so much to celebrate: cooler weather, bonfires, changing leaves, Breast Cancer Awareness month, Halloween and Thanksgiving. Yes, its totally okay to have a Jack O‘Lantern or a turkey sported on your nails.
DIY Tip: The key to getting small detailed figures painted on your nails is all about the brush you use. Try to find one from your local art store that is small and sharp so that you can make the smallest detail. Simply use acrylic paint to paint your festive design. Add a clear coat over your masterpiece when you’re all done!
A Hint of Gold
Choose one of your favorite fall colors to start then add a little sparkle. The possibilities are endless: a gold accent nail, a sparkle-featured design or a gold-ombre effect. Bring a little zing to the cold sweater weather.
DIY Tip: You can certainly use 3D objects to add a little bling to your nails. Rhinestones, small charms or glitter. Layering glitter nail polish for about 3 or 4 coats will give a definite, solid sparkle.
