These three things define so many young girls, so newcomer Jenna Raine decided to make an album about them! “Jeans, Boys & Jesus” is Jenna to the core – these are the things she simply can’t live without. “Jeans is Texas. Boys is any part of my love life or my friends’ love lives shared within the album. And then Jesus is obviously my more faith-based Christian lyrics and songs,” explains Jenna Raine. “And so I thought it was really cool that we’re able to combine all those because those are all just big pillars of my life.”
Most artists write about what they’re going through and how God is working in their lives, Jenna’s no different, but her approach is. She wants to speak about the good in her life and provide a positive message about faith, love, friendship, dreams and growing up. “It’s hard to live a very happy, joyful life when you’re listening to sad music. So, I particularly picked this album out one by one to make sure that it would positively impact people and just be a happy, fun, joyful album to listen to,” explains Raine. “I just believe wholeheartedly that the music that we listen to shapes us into who we are.” Jenna even puts a positive spin on heartbreak and breakups – not because life is full of rainbows and roses, but because she sees how, even in the midst of hardship, God is there, working to make good and glorious things happen. “These songs are made up of the experiences, the challenges, the blessings and the prayers that have shaped my life so far. This album represents who I truly am, and the faith that has guided me to this point.”
