Summer Prep To-Do
The summer is quickly approaching! The beach, vacation, hanging out with friends, swimming, ice cream and more await you! The possibilities for the summer seem endless. You may already be trying to decide how to spend your break! So, to help you with your planning, we created a list of essential things for you to contemplate while you prepare for the new season. Here’s our To-Do List for approaching your summer planning:

- Know your style
Just like everyone doesn’t have the same learning, communication and fashion styles, we all plan things differently as well. Think back to previous events and projects that you’ve had to plan. What tools did you use? Did you like to go with the flow, or does everything have to be arranged in advance? Did you involve your friends or do it all yourself? Knowing your planning style makes arranging your summer events more likely to happen.
- Know your budget
Unless you have a summer job or your parents pay you for chores done around the house, financing your activities is going to be a challenge. Even if you have some form of income, your budget has its limits. Take some time to assess your money situation, which will then tell you what plans are feasible.
- Coordinate
You’re not the only one making plans for the summer. Your parents may be planning a vacation, and you have friends who probably want you to join them in their summer adventures. Before you become set in your plans, make sure to communicate with friends and family members to ensure that your schedules don’t overlap.
- Prioritize
Summer break is only two to three months long. With finances, friends, family vacations and relaxing time, you may not be able to do everything you want to this summer. Which means that you’re going to have to prioritize your plans. Is there a summer tradition that you would be sad you missed? What events are flexible? Take some time to prioritize your plans for the summer.
