You’re being bombarded with lots of pointless information every day. Mostly belittling lies about your identity. Here are nine things you need to tell yourself daily.
9) Jesus Loves Me
You learned the Sunday School song, but do you really understand how much Jesus loves you? He cherishes you so much that He died on the cross for you, and He would do it over again if He had to. He desires to have a deep, intimate relationship with you.
8) I am Loved
Not only does Jesus love you, but your parents, friends, siblings, youth pastor, etc. The list of people who love you goes on and on. Even when you feel like no one in the world cares for you and what you’re going through, there’s at least one person who loves you and wants you to know that you’re special.
7) I am Beautiful
You were made by the ultimate creator, and He takes great pride in His work. God would never make something sloppy or ugly. You are beautiful, especially your imperfections and weaknesses because those are the areas in which Jesus most radiates. Remind yourself every day of the beauty God crafted you with.
6) I am Talented
Your creativity, talents and skills are gifts from God used to inspire others around you. Don’t deny your abilities. Your uniqueness is composed of intricacies that should be admired.
5) I am Valuable
You are irreplaceable and your life matters. God paid a high price for your life (the death of His son). He wants you to know and understand your worth.
4) I Make a Difference
You have a purpose, and God designed you to live out that purpose every day (even now as a teenager). Your purpose isn’t measly, it’s significant and the Lord is excited to walk with you in that purpose.
3) I am Unique
There is no one like you, and that is wonderful! That means you shouldn’t strive to be like anyone else. Instead, you should enjoy your own interesting quirks, exciting challenges and exquisite beauty.
2) I am Strong and Able
The Lord will give you strength to overcome any obstacle that comes your way. Don’t give up on yourself. Instead, lean on Him and let Him guide you through hardships and difficulty.
1) My Future is Bright
God has glorious plans for your life. The best is yet to come. Dream up an incredible future because God may surprise you with something even more extraordinary.
